US Residencies and Licensure

USMLE RESULTS CONTINUE TO BE STRONG
All students enrolled in the M.D. program at St. Martinus have to successfully pass the USMLE step 1 before commencing their clinical rotations.  This is the same qualification that is expected from students at US medical schools.  In order to pass the USMLE a student must score a minimum of 75%.  Students that score over 80% on the USMLE step 1 have better chances of qualifying for ACGME rotations.

The average USMLE pass rate for non-US medical schools is 60%, while US medical schools on average score better than 80%.
