The ICM 4(Integrated Clinical Medicine 4) students recently attended a focused airway management workshop led by Dr. Laura Horstink from Curaçao Medical Center (CMC).

The session covered key concepts in airway assessment, including recognizing indications for airway support and understanding the instruments used. Students received hands-on training in bag-mask ventilation and endotracheal intubation, practicing proper technique and patient positioning.

The workshop also highlighted important clinical decision-making, such as identifying the most appropriate person to perform intubation. Overall, it provided a concise yet practical learning experience essential for emergency care.
