  1. The tuition fee for the Basic Science shown above includes:

     

    Laboratory Fee,
    Facility Charges and
    White Coat Ceremony.

    Price for the Clinical Science Program may vary per side. Pre-Medical and Basic Science Programs are programmed on a Semester Basis (equivalent to 5 months) while the Clinical Science Program is programmed by term (equivalent to 12 weeks).

  2. All students are requested to pay a one-time, non-refundable Seat Reservation Fee upon acceptance to the Medical school in order to secure placement. This fee will be deducted from the tuition balance of the student’s first semester. The remainder of the tuition will be due 15 days before the first day of classes.
  3. Only applicable to Transfer Students.

Tuition Fee and Payment Policy

The tuition fee for the Basic Science Program includes the following:

  • Facility Charges
  • White Coat Ceremony

Program Structure

  1. The Pre-Medical and Basic Science Programs are organized on a semester system.
  2. Each Basic Science semester is equivalent to five (5) months, while the Clinical Science Program is structured by terms, each equivalent to twelve (12) weeks.
  3. Upon acceptance into St. Martinus University, Faculty of Medicine (SMUFOM), all students are required to pay a one-time, non-refundable Seat Reservation Fee to secure their placement.
    • This fee will be deducted from the tuition balance of the student’s first semester.
    • The remaining tuition balance must be paid no later than fifteen (15) days before the first day of classes.

Medical Kit Requirement

As students enter the MD Program, they are required to possess a Medical Kit that is essential for the Integrated Clinical Medicine Course.

The kit must include the following items:

  • Stethoscope
  • Blood Pressure
  • Apparatus
  • Torch
  • Measuring Tape
  • Reflex Hammer
  • Tuning Fork
  • Otoscope
  • Suturing Kit

Accepted Payment Methods

St. Martinus University, Faculty of Medicine accepts the following methods of payment:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Cashier’s Check
  • Wire Transfer
  • Credit Card (5% administrative fee applies)

Upon receipt of payment, a confirmation receipt will be issued via email to the student.

Clinical Science Program – Tuition Payment Policy & Guidelines

A one-time re-validation fee of USD 1,000.00 applies to transfer students entering the Clinical Science Program. This fee covers the evaluation and granting of medical school transfer credits.

Tuition fees for the Clinical Science Program may vary depending on the clinical site.

Important Notice

Please note that St. Martinus University does not authorize any individual or organization to collect any fees, donations, or payments on behalf of the University in any country.

The University shall not be responsible for any monies paid in India or elsewhere to unauthorized persons.

CARICOM Student Scholarship

All students who are citizens of CARICOM member countries receive a 50% tuition reduction for the Basic Sciences Program.

This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to supporting the local Caribbean community and fostering the development of future regional physicians.

Application Fee

Prospective students of the Caribbean medical school are required to pay a one-time, non-refundable Application Fee of $75 USD.

Seat Reservation Fee

A one-time, non-refundable Seat Reservation Fee of $1,000 USD must be paid to SMUFOM once the student has been accepted. This Seat Reservation Fee will be deducted from the student’s first semester’s tuition.

Tuition Payment Policy & Guidelines for Pre-Medical & Basic Science Programs

  1. Tuition for each semester is due, in full, 15 days before the first day of classes. Any payments made later than 15 days prior to the first day of classes are subject to a 5% late fee.
  2. No refund will be given if the student is dismissed from the University.

  3. St. Martinus University, Faculty of Medicine accepts any of the following payment methods listed below. Upon receiving payment, students will receive a receipt via email.

    • Credit Card (5% Administrative Fee will apply)

Tuition Payment Policy & Guidelines for the Clinical Science Program

    1. The fees for clinical rotations are non-refundable.
    2. If a check written for partial payment of Clinical Program fees bounces, the partial payment is unacceptable and tuition fees become payable in full immediately.
    3. No refund request will be accepted after the Clerkship fees are paid and the clinical site is confirmed by the University.
    4. No refund will be given if the student is dismissed from the University or the clinical site for failing to perform adequately in the clinical rotation.
    5. There is one time re-validation fee of $1,000.00 for transfer students to the Clinical Science Program for evaluation and granting of medical school transfer credits.
